    Bikkshu Konchok Lhundup was born on 15.10.1974 in Rigzinpa family of Skurbuchan village Leh-Ladakh. At the age of eleven he became monk at the Thegchen Targyasling Skurbuchan monastery, Ladakh. Afterward, he admitted for two years in Drikung Kagyu monastery in Mysore, Karnataka, India. Therein he mastered at writing, reading, ritual and Dharma practices.
    In 1987 he admitted in Drikung Kagyu main institute Dehradun, India, wherein he extensively learnt three sciences of Tibetan grammar, Hindi, English and Mathematics. Furthermore, he also studied thirteen volumes of Indian Buddhist master’ philosophy and Drikung Kagyu own traditional Essence of teachings, Sublime Dharma single intend and Jewel ornament of liberation. Moreover, he also learnt blowing and playing spiritual music instruments, monastic dance, drawing, chanting and own traditional seeing and learning transmission Dharma practices.
    He received Getsul and Gyelong vows from H.H Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche, the lord of Dharma and one after another he also obtained all kinds of own traditional empowerments, reading transmissions and esoteric instructions from H.E Togdan Rinpoche and H.E Garchen Rinpoche.
    1993 onwards, for the period of two years he served as Drubwang Rinpoche’s attendant and simultaneously he even acquired sufficient and profound oral instructions and advices from the Rinpoche.
    In 1996 he completed a three year retreat under the guidance of Bikkshu Thinley Yeshi at Drikung Kagyu meditation center Almora, Dehradun. After sometime in 2001 for a year he meditated solitary place of Labchi and Tatopani in Nepal.
    In year 2002 he went to Dharma Centre in Chile, South America during which he spreads Buddha-Dharma and at the end of the year he received oral transmission of Kagyur (translated words of Buddha) from H.E Togdan Rinpoche at Dehradun, India.
    Thereafter, as per H.H Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche’s direction he set out to World Peace Stutpa, Hungary. Thereupon he persistently engaged in repairing and constructing the stupa for several years. His dedicated and diligent activities appreciated by many of the devotees and donors.
    In recent times, H.H Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche has conferred the title of Drikung Kagyu retreat master.
    Henceforth, wishing teaching of meditation lineage may extensively disseminate and shine like sun for the benefit of all sentient beings at Zalaszanto which place resembles to Tsari in Tibet.
